PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an impeller from coming into contact with a shaft seal, in a centrifugal compression device including a centrifugal compressor, a motor and a power transmission mechanism.SOLUTION: A centrifugal compressor 2A includes: a housing 300 for housing an impeller 130 fixed to a tip part of a pinion rotor 110 while the pinion rotor 110 is inserted therein; and an annular shaft seal 700 mounted to the housing 300 while surrounding the pinion rotor 110 for preventing compression gas from leaking to the outside of the housing; wherein the shaft seal 700 formed with a shaft seal upper-half part 710 and a shaft seal lower-half part 720 is fixed to the housing 300 while projecting parts 711, 721 thereof abut on shaft seal abutting parts 342 formed at anti-impeller-side parts of the housing 300 toward the impeller side. |
