MAGNETIC BALANCE TYPE CURRENT SENSOR AND MAGNETIC SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic balance type current sensor capable of detecting a current to be measured with a high performance while reducing current consumption.SOLUTION: A magnetic balance type current sensor comprises: a CPP type magneto resistance effect element (111) constituted of a laminated film including a magnetization fixed layer in which a magnetization direction is fixed, a magnetization free layer in which a magnetization direction is varied and a nonmagnetic layer provided between the magnetization fixed layer and the magnetization free layer and having a sense current perpendicularly flowing to the surface of the film; a fixed resistance element (112); and a control circuit (10) for controlling an electric current so that an electric current passing through the CPP type magneto resistance effect element (111) is equal to an electric current passing through the fixed resistance element (112). The CPP type magneto resistance effect element (111) indicates a spin torque diode effect in the magnetization free layer (26), the nonmagnetic layer (25) and the magnetization fixed layer (24). The control circuit (10) controls an electric current direction so that a torque is added in a direction in which an induction field generated by a current to be measured is canceled to the magnetization of the magnetization free layer (26).
