PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-capacity converter enclosure that enables respective members to be easily positioned, shortens assembling time, and obtains sufficient strength and shock resistance.SOLUTION: A large-capacity converter enclosure includes an upper frame and a lower frame, a plurality of columns which are arranged at corners of the upper frame and lower frame, and connect the upper frame and lower frame to each other, and a plurality of corner members which are arranged at the corners of the upper frame and lower frame, and have contact surfaces each contacting one frame and contact surfaces each contacting one column. Then the upper frame and lower frame (beams 21, 22) and the columns 31 are joined to each other through the corner members 41 by fastening rivets 60-65 inserted into fastening member insertion through holes formed on opposite surfaces where the upper frame and lower frame, and columns face and contact surfaces of the corner members respectively, the corner members 41, and upper frame and lower frame and columns 31 are joined together by welding (weld zones 70-72), and the corner members 41 are joined with the rivets 60-65 and by the welding in combination. |
