PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of preventing a main shaft from rotating while a tool for turning is mounted on the main shaft.SOLUTION: A CPU sets any one of a first state, a second state and a third state as to the state of the main shaft when turning off power supply, with off-state parameters (S2-S7). The first state indicates that a tool TA for rotation has been mounted. The second state indicates that a tool TB for turning has been mounted. The third state indicates that no tool is mounted. The CPU is configured to control the main shaft in a predetermined state when power supply is off. When there is a main shaft command at the next start-up, the main shaft command is executed when the main shaft is in the first state or the third state, on the basis of the off-state parameters. The CPU ignores the main shaft command when the main shaft is in the second state. |
