PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that can be efficiently cooled without being large-sized.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 10 includes a heat radiation member 14 which increases area of a radiation surface coming into contact with a coil 13 exposed from an axial end of a stator 12 housed in a housing 11 to radiate heat generated in the coil 13; and a cooling oil circulation section having a flowing-down port 27 which is formed on the housing 11 while opened on a space side and allows cooling oil X to flow down to the heat radiation member from above the heat radiation member 14, a flowing-out port 29 which allows the cooling oil X flowing down from the flowing-down port 27 to flow out, a piping member 30 which makes a connection from the flowing-out port 29 to the flowing-down port 27 to form a circulation path 25 in which the cooling oil X flows, and a pump 31 which circulates the cooling oil X in the circulation path 25. |
