PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a kind of a connected antenna without detecting an antenna amplifier current.SOLUTION: In a reception device 1, a tuner part 11 performs seek channel selection in accordance with control by a control part 10, thereby detecting a reception state of a broadcast signal received by an antenna 2 when a reception frequency is changed continuously in a predetermined frequency range. The control part 10 compares the reception state of the broadcast signal, which is detected by the tuner part 11 through the seek channel selection when power supply voltage is not outputted from a power supply circuit 14, and the reception state of the broadcast signal, which is detected by the tuner part 11 through the seek channel selection when power supply voltage is outputted from the power supply circuit 14, with each other and determines, based on a result of the comparison, whether the antenna 2 is an active antenna or a passive antenna. |
