The invention relates to a process for obtaining a textile material with a high degree of whiteness from mixtures of cellulosic fibers, to be used in the textile industry. According to the invention, the process consists in a first stage when the material is suspended in an aqueous solution of peroxo-polyoxometalates, an ionic surface-active agent and peroxide, at a temperature of 70...90° for 60...90 min, afterwards it is cooled at the room temperature, then the suspension is filtered and in a second stage, the treated material is suspended in a sodium hydroxide solution, peroxide and sodium silicate, at a temperature of 70...80°C for 1...2 h, further the material is cooled, filtered, washed with cold water up to a neutral pH and dried at the room temperature, wherefrom there results a textile material having a degree of whiteness of 70...80%. |
