PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation device facilitating temperature control of a lamp light source.SOLUTION: A light irradiation device is provided with a light source support plate 51 for supporting a lamp light source 11 in an upright posture, a reflecting mirror support plate 52 for supporting an elliptical reflecting mirror 15 having the lamp light source 11 progress from a rear-end opening 15a and emitting light from a front-end opening 15b, a lamp cover 30 fitted in a space above the reflecting mirror support plate 52, surrounding a base 12a of lamp light source 11, and having a light-transmitting window 33a, and a nozzle 44 with its tip part facing an inside of the lamp cover 30 for supplying cooling air to the base 12a of the lamp light source 11 protruded from the front-end opening 15b of the elliptical reflecting mirror 15. The lamp cover 30 is provided with exhaust holes 32a in opposition to the nozzle 44. |
