PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain optimum power saving of a storage system such as a disk array device.SOLUTION: In a storage system in which a host 20 and a disk array device 10 are mutually connected; the host 20 grasps a use amount and a use block of a file system constituted by disks in a storage, and has a file system part for controlling relocation of the disks; the disk array device 10 has a control part, a data transfer part and a disk unit; and the control part acquires interface configuration information exchanged between a connected interface part included in the host and a host interface part included in the disk array device, and by performing ON/OFF control of a power source of an arbitrary HDD, attains power saving of the storage system in a range in which the performance can be kept. |
