摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire testing method that can highly accurately evaluate rupture strength of a tire used and ruptures in actual traveling, in consideration of heat degradation of rubber and abrasion of tread part of the tire.SOLUTION: A tire testing method includes: an internal pressure filling step for preparing an internal pressure-filled tire T by filling a fluid body inside a tire; a setting step for setting a weight 3 having a protrusion 5 at the bottom end thereof; a measuring step for causing the weight 3 to drop from a height h to make the protrusion 5 be abutted to a tread part Ta of the internal pressure-filled tire T, where the height h is gradually increased, and measuring a ruptured falling height H to a measuring position P of the weight 3 when the internal pressure-filled tire T ruptures; and an evaluating step for evaluating rupture strength from a falling energy E calculated on the basis of the ruptured falling height H and a mass M. The tire testing method further includes: a heat degradation step for causing heat degradation by keeping the tire warm at 60 to 80°C for 5 to 20 days before performing the measuring step; and a pseudo abrasion step for performing pseudo abrasion by cutting a groove provided on the tread part Ta into a depth of 3 to 7 mm to create a pseudo abrasion tire.
