PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus, which suppress abrasion of a slide sheet member abraded by a rotating belt member.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a heat roll 61; a pressure belt 62 movable while contacting with the heat roll 61; a pressure pad 64 that is disposed oppositely to the heat roll 61 with intervention of the pressure belt 62 and forms a nip portion N for allowing a recording medium 56 to pass between the heat roll 61 and pressure belt 62 by bringing the pressure belt 62 into pressure contact with the heat roll 61; and a slide sheet member 68 disposed across from upstream of the nip portion N in relation to the passing direction of the recording medium 56 to the intervening portion between the pressure pad 64 and pressure belt 62. Further, the slide sheet member 68 on a holder 65 has a creeping property and a thickness that is set to acquire a predetermined creep deform amount so that the sheet member on the holder 65 is extended due to the creeping property. |
