<p>The invention relates to a method for processing surface electromyograms recorded on two channels during the maximal isometric muscle contraction, continued up to exhaustion, and correlating the parameters obtained from the analysis of the surface electromyogram with parameters resulting from the analysis of mechanogram and cardiovascular activity. According to the invention, the method consists in applying, on the skin above the person's muscle to be investigated, some electrodes, a force sensor, an arterial pulse sensor and an apparatus for determining the arterial blood pressure which generates signals that are transmitted up to a four-channel amplifier, after amplification the signals being sampled, converted into digital signals and stored in a computer with a view to processing them by: analysis of the surface electromyogram consisting in mathematical processing at certain time intervals, wherefrom there results a set of values of the electro-physiological parameters which are used for tracing curves indicating the evolution in time of each parameter, throughout the contraction, up to exhaustion, for each of said curves there being calculated the first-order regression curve which has two parameters: intercept and slope, and after the calculation of the intercept and slope values for all the parameters and for various persons in a group to be assayed, the average values and standard deviation can be determined for each group, followed by a comparison between the average values of all parameters of an assayed group as compared with a witness group and the statistical assurances are calculated; analyzing the mechanogram curve in order to determine the total quantity of energy developed by the subject; as well as tracing the sphygmographic curve and entering all said parameters into a table based on which the synthetic indices are finally determined and correlations can be made between electrophysiological parameters.</p> |
