METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECEIVING DATA AT MOBILE STATION IN SLEEP MODE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A data receiving method of a sleep mode terminal and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce overhead that a base station frequently has to transmit an advanced air interface traffic indication (AAI_TRF-IND) message according to reception of data by expanding a listening section without a limit for a range of listening section expansion by a sleep terminal. CONSTITUTION: A receiving module (770) receives an AAI_TRF-IND message which includes a positive indicator from a base station during a listening section. A processor (730) expands the listening section without a limit for a range of listening section expansion if there is traffic for transmitting with the base station after the listening section. The processor receives a traffic indication message which includes the positive indicator during the listening section of a new sleep cycle. The processor resets a sleep cycle according to a value of a next sleep cycle indicator (NSCF).
