摘要 PURPOSE: A system and method for tracking the position of sun with a hybrid mode are provided to determine whether or not implementing an astronomical tracking method in parallel with a tracking method using an image sensor based on the determination of weather information due to the displacement of the sun with time, thereby precisely tracking the position of the sun. CONSTITUTION: A system for tracking the position of sun with a hybrid mode includes a global positioning system module (10), a position computing part (20), an image sensor module (30), a coordinate calculating part (40), a position correcting part (50), and a correction determining part (60). The position computing part computes the position of the sun. The image sensor module periodically or non-periodically photographs an image including the sun based on the position of the sun which is computed by the position computing part. The coordinate calculating part detects the sun from the image, and obtains the relative position coordinate value of the sun on a predetermined referential coordinate system. The position correcting part computes a correction value for matching the position coordinate value with the center of the referential coordinate system, and corrects the position of the sun which is computed by the position computing part according to the correction value. The correction determining part computes the displacement of the sun with time through comparison between the position coordinate values, determines whether or not a correcting operation is implemented by the position correcting part, outputs a control signal corresponding to the determination of the correcting operation, and then controls whether or not the position correcting part is operated.
