PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing 3-buten-1-ol useful as a raw material for medicine, agrichemicals, perfume, various kinds of chemicals, resin, etc. at high yield and low cost and industrially advantageously.SOLUTION: A method for producing 3-buten-1-ol is performed as follows. 2-buten-1, 4-diol, formic acid and, as necessary, a tertiary aromatic phosphorus compound are intermittently or continuously added to a mixture of a palladium compound, a tertiary aromatic phosphorus compound, a tertiary amine salt of formic acid and solvent. Thus, a reaction is performed while continuously distilling a product containing water and the 3-buten-1-ol. |
