PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a traffic jam by guiding a driver to utilize a non-congested route on a toll road.SOLUTION: A toll collection system comprises a route grasping gate. Furthermore, a central system is provided which includes an out-of-detour-object entrance table and a detour discount table, acquires traffic jam information to create a detour determination table and distributes the tables. Moreover, an exit system is provided which creates detour object information for determining whether a route via the route grasping gate is a detour route based on the detour determination table, transmits the created information to the route grasping gate and performs toll calculation processing based on the out-of-detour-object entrance table, the detour discount table, entrance information and detour information recorded in recording means of a passing vehicle. In the case where the entrance information recorded in the recording means of the passing vehicle is not an out-of-detour-object entrance and the detour information recorded in the recording means of the passing vehicle indicates the presence of detour, the exit system adapts a discount toll. |
