PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication network, a relay node and a communication path switchover method, capable of switching over a path at a single failure and maintaining communication at a plurality of failures, by switching over the failure recovery operation of ring aggregation according to a ring network state.SOLUTION: A ring network includes a plurality of relay nodes interconnected in a ring shape through relay sections. Based on a ring state recorded in a ring state recording table, if there is no failure in the ring network, a relay node does not operate the failure recovery function of ring aggregation, whereas if there is a failure, the relay node operates the failure recovery function of ring aggregation. |
