PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a runner vane for a movable blade water turbine which allows a drive part of the runner vane to be miniaturized and facilitates an efficient operation.SOLUTION: A runner vane for a movable blade water turbine of the embodiment is supported by a runner boss in order that a movable central axis is rotated as an axis of rotation to each of opening and closing directions. In order to reduce a difference between a power acting on an upstream part positioned in an upper stream side and a power acting on a downstream part positioned in a lower stream side from the movable central axis when the movable blade water turbine operates in the runner vane, a hollow part is formed at least inside of either the upstream part or the downstream part. |
