<p>The invention relates to a process for making cylindrical toothing of single-curve profile generated by rolling, e.g. by a milling cutter. According to the invention, the process consists in moving three circular-mounted trapezium-shaped cutting tools (1, 2 and 3) along some cycloidal paths (C, Cand C), in a milling head (4), performing a main cutting motion about its own axis, at a rotation speed (n), and a positive motion perpendicular onto the axis of a wheel (5) to be machined, at a speed (v), correlated to a rotation of the wheel (5) to be machined, mounted on a piece-holder mandrel (6), at a speed (n), the resulting teeth being straight or inclined, with involute profile and curved shape, being thicker in the middle part of the wheel (5) to be machined than at the extremities thereof.</p> |
