PURPOSE: A system and a method for preventing the gas leakage of a floating offshore structure are provided to accurately detect leaked positions of toxic gas in a specific equipment module of the floating offshore structure, and to reduce the downtime of the offshore structure by preprocessing the detected leaked positions. CONSTITUTION: A system for preventing the gas leakage of a floating offshore structure comprises a monitoring robot(200) and a monitoring robot controller(100). The monitoring robot detects equipment modules arranged in the floating offshore structure in real time and outputs information on the leaked amount and positions of gas based on the detected results. Accordingly, the monitoring robot preprocesses the leaked positions of the gas.
