PURPOSE: An electromagnetic steering gear is provided to have a narrow installation space and to do maintenance easier than a hydraulic system. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic steering gear comprises a rotor casing(100), a rotor(104), stators(107,108), first electromagnets(110), and second electromagnets(120). The rotor casing is arranged in the upper part of a rudder stock and is installed in a hull structure. The rotor is coupled to the upper part of the rudder stock inside the rotor casing and has multiple vanes(105,106). The stators are formed in a space between the vanes and are protruded from the inner circumference of a casing body(102) of the rotor casing to the shaft center of the rudder stock. The first electromagnets are installed on both sides of the stators. The second electromagnets are installed on both sides of the vanes. |
