PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation device and method which allows for examination of discomfort which a subject feels when binocular vision is performed at the time of monocular vision prescription.SOLUTION: A simulation device includes: image generation means 14 that generates two images different from each other as images seen by right and left eyes through lenses when a relation of light quantity distribution with respect to a focal distance differs among the light and left eyes due to wearing of the lenses by monocular vision prescription; and image display means that displays the two images generated by the image generation means 14 independently to the light and left eyes of a subject.
