PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of making a label including a protection sheet in accordance with use conditions as necessary.SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes: a printing mechanism 53, incorporating a printing tape 71 and a translucent tape 77, for printing on the printing tape 71; and a cutting mechanism 54 for cutting the printing tape 71 and cutting the translucent tape 77. When the translucent tape 77 is determined to be necessary, the printer makes a translucent label made by feeding the translucent tape 77 and cutting it to a predetermined length or longer when making a label with the predetermined length using the printing tape 71. |
