PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device whose electric power consumption is suppressed and operation speed is improved.SOLUTION: The semiconductor memory device in this embodiment is equipped with a plurality of memory banks including a plurality of non-volatile memory cells. A common data bus is shared by a plurality of memory banks, and transmits data of the memory cells. A plurality of switches are severally provided between a power supply and the plurality of memory banks. A controller controls the plurality of switches. The controller, in data read-out operation or data writing operation, turns at least one switch corresponding to at least one memory bank to be accessed to a conduction state and turns other switches to a non-conduction state. |
