PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To image, at a time, a two-dimensional image whose brightness information, polarization information, and spectral information are obtainable in a minute area unit, such as a pixel unit, and whose transmission polarization component and each component in a transmission wavelength band are adjusted arbitrarily.SOLUTION: An optical filter that is disposed at a stage preceding an imaging element includes: a spectral filter layer that separates wavelengths of transmission light; a polarization filter layer that is disposed at a stage succeeding the spectral filter layer and has a plurality of polarization component transmission regions having mutually different transmission polarization axes; and a filling layer that protects the polarization filter layer. Each polarization component transmission region has a wire grid structure, in which metal wires extending in a predetermined direction are disposed parallel to each other at a predetermined pitch, and the spectral filter layer transmits light whose wavelength component is twice or more as long as the wire pitch of the wire grid structure. |
