PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of partial excessive glossiness of a toner image caused by increasing a temperature of an inter-sheet corresponding area of a pressure roller higher than usual that corresponds to an inter-sheet distance during successive printing operation.SOLUTION: A fixing device 60 fixes a toner image on a recording sheet by applying heat and pressure to the recording sheet held by a fixing nip formed by contact of a fixing belt 63 with a pressure roller 61. The peripheral length of the pressure roller 61 is set half a total value of a dimension in a longitudinal direction of an A4-size recording sheet (297 mm) and an inter-sheet distance that is a distance between a recording sheet conveyed in advance and a subsequent recording sheet when a successive printing operation is performed in a printer. |
