PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater that has low energy cost and can be stably used even in the night or at a power failure.SOLUTION: An electric water heater includes: an electric water heater 50 including a heat insulation tank 55 to which a water supply pipe 51 and a hot water supply pipe 53 are connected and which is covered with a heat insulating material 56; an electric heater 62 which heats and re-heats the water in the heat insulation tank; a solar water heater 30 having a heat collection pipe to which the water supply pipe and a hot water supply pipe 33 is connected; a solar power generation device 10 which supplies electric power to the electric water heater; and a water heater control part 60 which controls the electric water heater, a solar water heater, and a solar power generation device. A hot water supply pipe of the solar water heater is connected to the heat insulation tank of the electric water heater, and the water heater control part performs control to supply hot water from the solar water heater to the heat insulation tank and control to supply electric power from the solar power generation device to the electric heater at predetermined time. |
