PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound generating device capable of improving expressive power of musical instruments by allocating a musical performance area to as many musical instruments as possible so that many musical instruments can be simultaneously played in a virtual musical instrument performance.SOLUTION: It is determined whether an action by a music player is a playing action or a pattern recording action to record a loop pattern for loop musical performance. When the action is the pattern recording action, a loop pattern for loop musical performance is stored in a loop pattern storage section 23 on the basis of movements of a stick portion 10. When the action is the playing action, a predetermined musical sound is generated by an audio output section 251 on the basis of the movements of the stick portion 10, and when the loop pattern for loop performance is stored in the loop pattern storage section 23, a musical sound based upon the loop pattern for loop performance is generated by the audio output section 251 together with the musical sound for ordinary performance by the stick portion 10. |
