PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve a similar specification from existing specifications.SOLUTION: A similar specification retrieval system 102, which is connected to a general purpose associative computing system 112 for calculating similarity between specifications expressed by starting a new line for each item in a character string composed of a plurality of characters according to the appearing frequency of the character string, inputs an existing specification candidate similar to an input character string included in a new specification outputted from the general purpose associative computing system 112, determines whether or not the character string length of the inputted existing specification candidate is equal to or longer than the prescribed number multiple of a new specification character string length, and when determined that the character string length of the existing specification candidate is not equal to or longer than the prescribed number multiple of the new specification character string length, compares the character string of the determined existing specification candidate with the new specification character string, changes a character color of the matched existing specification character string to a standard color, and outputs it as a similarity determination result file. |
