PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately determine the plotting direction of a graphic to be plotted even when there are individual differences among the sizes or shapes and positions of graphics to be plotted by users with their gestures.SOLUTION: When the plotting direction of a graphic plotted with a gesture is identified, a vertical determination axis V passing a central point in a detection zone E2 is set in a gesture recognition area C first, and an area in which more plotting points r1, r2, through rn constituting a plotting locus L are included between the right and left areas of the vertical determination axis V is selected. Then, a horizontal determination axis H passing the central point of the detection zone E2 is set, and an area in which more plotting points r1, r2, through rn are included between the upper and lower areas of the horizontal determination axis H is selected. Then, the area having the larger number between the number of plotting points of the area selected by using the vertical determination axis V and the number of plotting points of the area selected by using the horizontal determination axis H is selected, and the direction of the selected area is determined as the plotting direction with the gesture. |
