PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly set the sensitivity of a touch panel in accordance with screen configuration displayed on a display unit.SOLUTION: A touch-panel input device 1 includes: an opening application detection unit 30 for detecting an application program whose information is displayed on a screen display unit 10; a terminal orientation detection unit 40 for detecting the orientation of the touch-panel input device 1; a storage unit 50 for storing sensitivity data relating to touch panel sensitivity set for each of one or plural areas formed on the touch panel for each application program and each orientation of the touch-panel input device 1; and a control unit 60 for acquiring applicable sensitivity data from the storage unit 50 on the basis of the application program detected by the opening application detection unit 30 and the orientation of the touch-panel input device 1 detected by the terminal orientation detection unit 40, and for setting the sensitivity of the touch panel in accordance with the acquired sensitivity data.
