PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant control device of an engine capable of suitably detecting abnormality of a valve for switching a flow passage of a coolant of the engine.SOLUTION: A cooling control device 100 of an engine includes a water pump 1 for circulating a coolant of the engine 2, and a rotary valve 10 for switching the flow passage of the coolant of the engine 2, and includes an ECU 30 for achieving a driving force detecting portion for detecting driving force of the water pump 1, a switching state detecting portion for detecting a passage switching state of the rotary valve 10 and an abnormality diagnostic portion for diagnosing the abnormality of the rotary valve 10 based on the driving force detected by the driving force detecting portion and the switching state detected by the switching state detecting portion. The water pump 1 particularly becomes an electrically driven water pump. |
