PURPOSE: A negative electrode for a lithium ion battery is provided to store lithium ions in high capacity, to rapidly charge and discharge by having high conductivity, and to minimize damages and the degradation of conductivity when volume is expanded after receiving the lithium ions. CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode (200) for a lithium ion battery receives lithium ions from a positive electrode when charging, and releases the lithium ions to the positive electrode when discharging by being installed on an electrode substrate. The negative electrode includes multiple nanobranched structures (220) which is formed on the electrode substrate (100) in a branch form, and formed of a conductive material having a crystalline structural gap. The nanobranched structures contain indium tin oxide. The electrode substrate is formed of a material containing more than one substance selected from plastic, glass, ceramics, and metal, and is formed in to a thin plate. |
