The invention relates to a process for obtaining fibers from stems of bast fiber plants to be used in the textile industry. According to the invention, the process consists in treating the stems with a mixed inoculum of microorganisms from a sublayer of fruit wastes and a bakery yeast with an addition of AIK (SO)for 48 h in a buffer medium of pH 4.5 at a temperature of 30°C, wherefrom there result fibers of the quality class I with an extraction output of 30%, the process waters being purified and recycled.
