The device (100) has a coupling element (110) coupled to an actuating element (180), while providing predetermined freedom of movement between the coupling element and the actuating element along a z-axis (195). Another coupling element (120) is coupled to a connection element. A clamping device is arranged on the former coupling element, which upon actuation clamps the former coupling elements in relation to each other and to the actuating element coupled to the latter coupling element along the z-axis without any play. An independent claim is also included for a method for mechanically coupling an actuating element of a valve to a connection element of an actuator.
