PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge thickening ink in a neglected ink chamber while giving consideration to neglected environment.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording apparatus includes: an inkjet recording head including a plurality of nozzles, a pressure generating chamber communicating with the nozzles, and a pressure generating element for generating pressure in the pressure generating chamber; a head control part configured to apply a drive voltage to the pressure generating element to drive the inkjet recording head; and a printing control part configured to supply a drive voltage to the head control part. The printing control part is configured to supply an idle jet signal, with which drive voltage is set larger as the neglected environment temperature becomes higher, to the head control part. The head control part is configured to apply the drive voltage of the supplied idle jet signal to the pressure generating element and perform an idle jet operation. |
