PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when a fuel temperature within a high pressure fuel pump is elevated, viscosity of a fuel is reduced and a sufficient lubrication oil film cannot be secured in a sliding part of the pump, and friction of the pump sliding part is increased as a result to make fuel economy worse and furthermore, if the viscosity of the fuel is increased when a fuel temperature within a pressure accumulation chamber is elevated, leak occurs from an injection port of a fuel injection valve, an exhaust gas is deteriorated as a result, and the like.SOLUTION: In a direct injection type internal combustion engine mounted in a hybrid vehicle, when a state of no injection from a fuel injection valve is continued for a predetermined period of time or longer, fuel injection is resumed in a forced manner, and excessive elevation of a fuel temperature within a high pressure fuel system is suppressed, thereby stabilizing fuel combustion and enhancing exhaust gas and fuel economy performance. |
