PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately determine whether plate making can be resumed from a state when plate making is interrupted in the case where plate making is interrupted in the middle of a plate making process in stencil printing and to guarantee the quality of a plate making master required in resuming plate making.SOLUTION: Whether a document image can be divided into an image present region and an image absent region in a sub-scanning direction is determined first, and plate making is performed for every divided region if the document image can be divided. Even when a plate making interruption factor occurs during the plate making operation of the image present region, if the interruption factor is not related to plate making, plate making is not interrupted immediately but interrupted after carrying out plate making to the last on a remaining portion of the divided region during plate making at the occurrence of the plate making interruption factor. |
