摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present an operator with a referencing image enabling correct grasping of the accuracy of a fragment at a cut position, the fragment cut from a slice of a biological tissue, thereby supporting a quantitative analysis of the fragment.SOLUTION: An image generation device 1, used for generating a display image from a reference image and a specimen image, where the reference image is an image of two slices cut from adjacent places of a biological tissue and an image of one of them that has been dyed, while the specimen image is an image in which division lines dividing the other slice into plural fragments are defined for the other slice, includes: a division line duplication unit 4 for generating duplicates of division lines that correspond to a position that constitute the same positional relationship with one slice of the reference image as the same positional relationship between the other slice and division lines in the specimen image; a line-width setting unit 5 for setting the line width of the duplicates of the division lines generated by the division line duplication unit 4 at a predetermined size; and a synthesis unit 6 for generating a display image produced by overlaying the duplicates of the division lines generated by the division line duplication unit 4 on the reference image with a predetermined size set by the line-width setting unit 5.
