PURPOSE: A botulinum toxin type A is provided to prevent cross-infection of AIDS and mad cow disease by not adding a stabilizer for maintaining a preservation period and to not be contaminated by excluding the dilution process with physiological saline solution. CONSTITUTION: A botulinum toxin type A is obtained by adding a dextrose solution during the manufacturing step of a conventional botulinum type A, adding and mixing 2-6 ml of 6-12% dextrose solution into 100 unit botulinum toxin type A to make the dextrose solution contact with the inner wall of a container, thereby obtaining preservation period of 12-15 months while maintaining 100% titer of botulinum toxin type A. When using conventional botulinum toxin type A, the botulinum toxin type A is mixed and dissolved into the dextrose solution. |
