PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which undeveloped toner can be peeled off from a substantially entire surface area of a toner supporting rotating body.SOLUTION: An end part 132e in a longitudinal direction of a developer supporting side magnetic member 132 of a developer supporting rotating body 130 is positioned outward in a longitudinal direction with respect to an end part 152e in the longitudinal direction of a toner supporting side magnetic member 152 of a toner supporting rotating body 150. A counter pole magnetic member 132 facing the toner supporting side magnetic member 152 and a downstream pole magnetic member placed at a downstream side of the counter pole magnetic member 132 in a rotation direction have a magnetic force, generated in the vicinity of both the end parts in the longitudinal directions of the counter pole magnetic member 132 and the downstream pole magnetic member, greater than that generated inside in the longitudinal directions thereof. At a position where a housing 110 faces a surface positioned at the end part in the longitudinal direction of the developer supporting rotating body 130, the housing 110 includes a seal portion which projects toward the surface so as to be adjacent to the surface and suppresses the scattering of toner disposed in a space between the surface and an inner surface of the housing 110 to the outside of the space. |
