PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decorating a surface of a resin member, allowing foil to be easily transferred to the surface of the resin member having a rough surface, and attaining an attractive surface decoration.SOLUTION: A method for decorating the surface of a resin member includes: a flattening step of pressing an embossed surface of a grille lower 9 by a pressure roller 76 while heating the embossed surface at a heating temperature not lower than the softening temperature of thermoplastic resin used for the grille lower 9, to flatten the embossed surface, thereby obtaining a flattened surface; and a decorating step of arranging chromium foil on the flattened surface and pressing the chromium foil to the flattened surface of the grille lower 9 by the pressure roller 76. |
