PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production apparatus and a production method for a colored composition for a color filter, in which re-aggregation of a pigment is prevented by continuously subjecting the pigment to an ultrasonic dispersion treatment while dispersing the pigment by use of a minute media to a submicron range of 1 μm or smaller, and thereby, a stable dispersion is produced and both of a high contrast ratio and viscosity stability required for a color filter can be achieved, and to provide a colored composition for a color filter produced by the above production apparatus.SOLUTION: A dispersion apparatus for a colored composition of a color filter includes dispersing means (a) using ultrasonic vibration energy and dispersing means (b) using collision of a media to which energy is imparted by rotating rotary blades. The dispersing means (a) and the dispersing means (b) are connected in a serial circulation circuit.
