PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide navigation system allowing a user to know a public transportation service having a departure time within a preset time without searching on a timetable.SOLUTION: A character recognition processing section 21 performs a character recognition processing on an image of a timetable taken by a camera 18 to generate a piece of timetable data. The timetable data is stored in a storage 14 along with a piece of positional information. A diagram determination section 22 reads out, from the timetable data storage 14, a piece of timetable data having a piece of positional information included in a predetermined range with respect to a present position detected by a GPS receiver 11, and determines whether any service the departure time of which is included in a preset time based on the present time on the timetable data. Determining an existence of a service the departure time of which included within the preset time based on the present time, a display control section 24 displays an icon representing the service on a display screen of a display section 15. |
