PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic electronic component capable of preventing a crack of a glass layer formed on an external surface of an element body that is generated by rise and fall of ambient temperature being repeated.SOLUTION: The ceramic electronic component includes a plurality of base electrodes and a glass layer formed on an external surface of an element body, wherein the element body includes a side part and a surface part, and the thickness of the glass layer of the side part surface is thinner than that of the glass layer of the surface part surface.
