PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holographic stereogram recording device capable of recording an element hologram while keeping substantially constant a quantity of reference light even if object light is used as the reference light.SOLUTION: A holographic stereogram recording device includes: a spatial light modulation unit that creates object light by performing spatial light modulation of light; an object light optical system that condenses the object light in a recording medium; and a reference light optical system that irradiates a condensed portion of the object light in the recording medium with reference light interfering with the object light, and an element hologram is recorded in the condensed portion where the reference light and the object light are intersected. The reference light optical system includes a conversion optical system that converts the object light passing through the recording medium into plane waves traveling to the condensed portion, and emits them as the reference light. The spatial light modulation unit includes a spatial light modulator having a signal light region that is arranged on an optical axis of the object light optical system and that creates signal light in response to image information, and a dimming region that is arranged outside the signal light region and that creates auxiliary light without including the image information. |
