PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light driving apparatus and method capable of embodying constant-voltage/constant-current control not requiring a control circuit, an optocoupler, a peripheral element and the like on a secondary side to simplify a circuit structure and reduce cost.SOLUTION: A transformer stores energy into an inductor on a primary side when a switching element is turned on, and communicates the energy stored in the inductor to a secondary side when the switching element is turned off. A controller calculates a secondary side average current on the basis of a current and voltage on the primary side, which is obtained from the inductor included in the primary side of the transformer, and controls turning-on and turning-off of the switching element depending on the calculation result to perform adjustment so that a constant drive current flows in an LED part. |
