PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of stabilizing behavior of a fixing belt in the vicinity of a separation plate, properly maintaining a gap between the fixing belt and the separation plate, and stabilizing separability of paper.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a pressure roller 20 that rotates in a predetermined direction; an endless fixing belt 21 that is heated by a heat source 22 and is brought into pressure contact with the pressure roller 20 to form a fixing nip N2 and to be driven in conjunction with the pressure roller 20; separation means 27 that is provided on the downstream side of the fixing nip N2 to separate a recording medium passing the fixing nip N2 from the fixing belt 21; and regulation means 30 that contacts the outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt 21 to prevent the fixing belt 21 from approaching the separation means 27 side. |
