PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a resonance phenomenon of a catalytic converter by an exhaust gas flow, without causing a problem on a vehicle layout, a problem (cost increase) on manufacture and adverse effect on the other performance.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1 includes an internal combustion engine body 3 forming a combustion chamber 4 inside, and a catalytic converter 10 arranged in an exhaust flow path 8 of the internal combustion engine body 3 and having a catalyst 11 for purifying exhaust gas. A protrusion 19 for reducing pressure pulsation of the exhaust gas by disturbing a flow of the exhaust gas in the exhaust flow path 8, is arranged in the exhaust flow path 8 on the upstream side of the catalyst 11 of the catalytic converter 10. |
