PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize glare received by a presenter, while suppressing degradation of an image quality of a projection image.SOLUTION: A projector 1 comprises: an imaging unit 4 that images a projection image to be projected on a screen 3 on the basis of image data from a projector body 2; a face position detection part 35 that detects a face position of a person; a distance measurement unit 5 that measures a projection distance from the projector body 2 to the screen 3 and a person distance from the projector body 2 to the person; a concentric pattern generation part 37 that generates a concentric pattern centering around the face position of the person of the projection image; a luminance table setting part 40 that sets luminance of an image for each concentric area of the concentric pattern; a luminance correction part 42 that corrects luminance of the image data to the luminance set by the luminance table setting part 40 for each area corresponding to a concentric circle of the concentric patter in the image data; and the projector body 2 that projects a projection image on the screen 3 on the basis of post-corrected image data.
